Adolf Eichmann
The Austrian Nazi
Adolf Karl Eichmann was born in Solingen, Germany, near the center of a Transcendental
Midpoint-Field formed by Primary Mercury, which rises in a curving position
over southern Italy, Yugoslavia, Hungary, former Czechoslovakia, Poland, and
the Baltic states, and by equally aspected Primary Pluto, which runs in a
vertical, Midheaven position over the North Atlantic. Eichmann’s Secondary
Transcendental Mars sets in a curving pattern over the southeast corner of
the Mediterranean, further extending the range of this Transcendental Midpoint-Field.
The Pluto-Mars pairing is
considered to be one of the most powerful signatures in astrology, signifying,
in its negative manifestation, a potential for “energizing / forces of mass
destruction” and for “dictatorially willful, aggressive, or violent acts leading
to social upheaval and enforced collective transformation.” In addition, like
other dictatorial henchman born with a Transcendental Mercury, Eichmann excelled
at designing a “bureaucratic system” of extermination.
Eichmann’s negative personification
of these Transcendentals comprised some of the darkest aspects of this potent
symbolism. A sort of “bureaucratic / executioner” (Primary Mercury / Primary
Pluto), he administered the Austrian “Office for Jewish Emigration,” which
issued exit permits to Austrian Jews only after they handed over all their
worldly possessions; it would later become “an agency not of emigration but
of extermination and to organize the slaughter of more than four million persons.”1
On January 20, 1942, German
officials met in Wannsee, a suburb of Berlin, to discuss the “Final Solution”:
a systematic killing of Europe’s eleven million Jews. S.S. Chief Reinhard
Heydrich chose Eichmann to coordinate the decisions reached at the Wannsee
Conference, to “ensure that the Final Solution worked smoothly, that the deportations
were orderly and systematic, and that adequate deceptions worked throughout”2
(Primary Pluto). In other words, Eichmann was to be the chief coordinator
in the deportation of Jews to the “extermination centers” (Pluto).
Two years later, after Eichmann’s
plans to deport three-quarters-of-a-million Hungarian Jews to Auschwitz were
largely fulfilled, he received the Iron Cross, Second Class. His next major
project was initiated twenty-four hours after the German Army occupied Hungary,
in October 1944. He targeted the Budapest Jews and called for 50,000 to be
deported on foot–to be forcibly marched all the way to Germany–where they
would work, if they survived the march, as enslaved laborers. As we can see
in his astrocartography, Hungary is located directly under Eichmann’s Primary
Mercury line: again, symbolizing Eichmann’s principal role in “designing a
bureaucracy / of extermination” (Primary Mercury / Primary Pluto). The Primary
Pluto / Secondary Mars symbolism of “subjection to dominating dictatorial
attitudes”; “possibility of death in war situations”; “attempt[s] to forcibly
remake or remold others”3; and an “activation of violent / underworld and
criminal forces” (Eichmann was later tried for crimes against humanity) were
all exemplified by the monstrous actions of this brutal historic figure.
Several months after his capture
by American forces, Eichmann escaped (1945) and eventually made his way to
Argentina (1950), where he spent ten years in hiding. He was later captured
in Buenos Aires and forcibly deported to Israel, where he was executed by
hanging at Ramle Prison, on May 31, 1962. (For more on Eichmann’s fate, see
