Queen Anne

Queen Anne was born in London, just a few degrees east of Primary Uranus, which runs through the center of England in a vertical, midnight position. Secondary Jupiter runs parallel to Uranus and is positioned just off the western coasts of Ireland and Portugal. Therefore, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, and the westernmost tip of the Mediterranean are framed in a narrow Transcendental Midpoint-Field.
Anne was the first queen to rule over Great Britain and Ireland. With the help of their Portuguese allies, the English waged war against France and Spain in the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1714), taking Gibraltar (which lies near the center of Anne’s Transcendental Midpoint-Field) and Minorca (40N00; 4E00) from the Spanish, thereby assuring English dominance in the western Mediterranean. In 1707, The Act of Union concluded an agreement with Scotland to abandon its legislative independence in exchange for commercial rights and religious freedoms. This completed the union of Great Britain.
Anne’s reign was marked by her attempt to “maintain her freedom and independence” (Primary Uranus) and to avoid the domination of either political party (she appointed two neutrals to head her first ministry) and by her “abruptly shifting allegiances” (Primary Uranus) during a time rife with “instability” (Uranus) and intrigue.
“Deeply religious” (Tertiary Neptune), she was known for her “patronage / of the Church” of England (Secondary Jupiter / Tertiary Neptune) and for “patronizing other worthy causes” (Jupiter), such as donating 30,000 pounds to English soldiers who had lost their horses. In 1704, she established “Queen Anne’s Bounty” and turned the crown revenues (amounting to about 16,000 pounds) over to the “church / for aid to the poor” (Tertiary Neptune / Secondary Jupiter).
