Assassination of John F. Kennedy

What role does Transcendental Astrology play in the “birth” of a historic event?
        One of the more startling examples of this phenomenon is found in the astrocartography of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The Primary Transcendental for this moment was the Sun, and we find the Primary Sun line directly over Texas in its vertical, Midheaven position at the moment of Kennedy’s “fatal wounding” (Tertiary Mars). The Secondary Transcendental was Venus; the Tertiary Transcendental, Mars: each was located over the Washington, D.C. area in their vertical, Midheaven positions.
        The “fatal wounding / of a charming, charismatic / leader” (Tertiary Mars / Second­ary Venus / Primary Sun) is one possible keynote for this moment. In addition, this “highly publicized / act of aggression” (Primary Sun / Tertiary Mars) nonetheless led to a “peace­ful transition” (Venus) of government. The Primary Sun symbolism is of further significance when we consider that the Sun rules the “dramatic publicizing” of events. Because of the growing influence of television, the news of Kennedy’s fatal wounding was instantly reported to millions of Americans and to foreigners around the world, turning it into one of the “most publicized” acts of aggression in modern history.

        In the decades following his death, the assassination became a sort of portal into which researchers continued to “shine a light of public scrutiny,” gradually “revealing” (Primary Sun) a complex of social and governmental forces that played a part in the macabre events leading up to his murder.
